The ability to identify and understand emotions is a vital social emotional learning skill for our students.

This digital Google Slides resource provides students with opportunities to practice identifying and understanding emotions.

Activities included:

1. Students watch a linked video explaining emotions.

2. Students complete an activity where they read the definition of each emotion, write an example of a time they felt it, circle ways their body reacts to that emotion, and identify a picture of someone feeling that emotion.

3. Students look at pictures and circle the emotion they think is displayed.

4. Students complete lists of things/events that make them feel each emotion.

5. Students read scenarios and circle the emotion that would feel in that situation.

6. Students write creative stories about illustrated dot characters experiencing emotions.

Important Note: This resource is created to be used with Google Classroom. It is a Google Slides presentation. All students will need access to a Google account to use it.
