Did you know that May is Mental Health Awareness month?? It's the perfect time to discuss mental health with your students to bring awareness and reduce stigmas associated with mental health!


This resources includes:
  • a PowerPoint Presentation Lesson that addresses 6 facts about mental health and includes an exit ticket at the end!
  • 6 engaging activities for students to practice supporting their mental health
  1. My Happy Place Visualization - students will visualize a place that makes them feel calm and happy and represent it in a drawing
  2. Spin & Breathe - students will spin one of 6 breathing exercises and use the cards to guide them through the exercises
  3. My Mental Health Meter - students will create a "mental health meter" with a movable arrow to represent where their mental health is currently and see how mental health changes
  4. Roll a Pose - Students will roll dice to see which Yoga pose to do and will use the included cards to walk them through each exercise
  5. Calm Coloring - Students will practice mindful coloring with 10 various mandala coloring pages
  6. Peak & Pit - Students will identify the peak (high point) and pit (low point) of their day and represent it with words and a picture.

Students will love working on their mental health and teachers will love the calm vibe these activities will create in their classrooms!
